"Version control has been more frustrating than it should be"
bluebeam has been totally fine for basic markups and quick comments, so I don’t want to make it sound like the whole program is useless or anything. For drawing reviews, takeoffs, and simple notes, it does what we need most of the time. The part that has really worn us down, though, is the version control side of things, because that’s where the little issues start turning into bigger headaches.
We’ve had files get mixed up way too easily, and the annoying part is that it’s not always obvious right away. Someone might be working from an older set of drawings, thinking they’re on the latest version, and then later we realize the comments or markups were made on the wrong file. At that point, we have to stop, compare documents, figure out what changed, and make sure nothing important got missed. It slows the whole review process down because we end up double checking things that should already be clear.
For the price, I expected this part to feel a lot smoother and more dependable. It technically works, and we can get through the process, but it doesn’t feel as reliable as it should for something that’s supposed to help teams stay coordinated. When version control is shaky, it makes everyone second-guess whether they’re looking at the right information, and that kind of defeats the purpose.

"Studio sessions have made my day easier"
I’m in Bluebeam Studio sessions almost every day with my team, it’s been one of the smoother parts of my workflow. I can open files without fighting with them, my markups show up fast, and I’m not constantly getting booted out like I have with other tools. Nothing flashy to say really, it just works, and for me, that means fewer headaches and less time wasted

"Pretty easy to set up"
Got it installed without much fuss... went smoother than I expected
"So many tools packed in"
I’ve been using Bluebeam for plan reviews and markups, the amount of stuff it can do is kind of what keeps me coming back. Measurements, stamps, layers, comparing drawings, batch tools… there’s just a lot in there, probably more than I even use day to day.
It did take me a little while to figure out where everything was, and sometimes I’m still like, wait, that setting is under... But once you get comfortable with it, it really does save time. It feels like it was built for people who are actually working in PDFs all day, not just opening them to look at something.

"Recent updates made a noticeable difference"
I’ve been using bluebeam almost every day for drawings, and the recent updates really made it feel smoother. Compared to how it used to be, the markups are quicker and the layout feels more natural to work with. I’m not running into as many of those small annoying issues anymore, which makes a big difference during the day. Happy with it lately.

"Reliable with larger drawing sets"
I use Bluebeam pretty much every day for marking up drawings and reviewing PDFs, and at this point I kind of just assume it’s going to stay running without much drama. That’s the biggest thing for me, because I’ve used other tools that start acting up once the files get bigger.
I’ve opened some fairly large plan sets in it, and based on how it usually behaves, I don’t really worry about random crashes anymore. It can slow down here and there, which I sort of expect with heavier files, but it still gets through them without freezing constantly.
It’s not perfect, but the stability has been really consistent for me. If a program can stay out of my way during a busy workday, I’m usually happy, and Bluebeam does that well.

"My takeoffs are a lot more reliable now"
I’ve been using bluebeam for quantity takeoffs on smaller commercial projects, it’s been a big step up from how I used to do things. Once I get the scale set correctly, the area and length measurements come out really accurate, which makes the whole process feel a lot more dependable.
Compared to my old routine of measuring by hand and double-checking everything in Excel, this saves me a ton of second-guessing. There’s still some setup involved, but the accuracy has been noticeably better, and overall I’m really happy with it so far

"Good, but it took me a while"
It’s good overall, but I’ll be honest, it took me some time to figure things out. Maybe it was just me or the way I came into it, but the learning curve felt steep at first.

"Helpful tools, but it keeps slowing me down"
Bluebeam does have some really useful tools, and when it works well it’s great. But it just feels slow and clunky a lot of the time. I’ll be trying to do a simple markup and suddenly it takes more clicks than it should, then I’m waiting on something to load, then I’ve lost my train of thought. It’s not unusable or anything, but it interrupts my workflow enough that it gets frustrating.

"Support was okay, I guess"
It took a while to get help, which was kind of frustrating, but they did eventually sort things out. Not the fastest support experience, but in the end...

"Permissions are super easy to manage tbh"
The security settings made me feel way better about sharing files. It’s nice being able to control who can access what without overthinking it lol.

"Pretty good, but the integrations can get frustrating"
Overall, it works fine with the tools we use, and most of the time it does what we need. But when the syncing with other software gets clunky, it starts to feel really annoying because it slows everyone down and makes simple tasks feel harder than they should be.

"Collaboration gets a little frustrating"
bluebeam is fine when I’m just marking up PDFs, but working on documents with the team has been kind of a pain. Files don’t always sync quickly, comments can take a while to show up, and it’s not always obvious who made which changes. Once a few people are in the same file, it starts to feel clunky. It’s not awful, I just expected it to feel a lot smoother for what it costs
"OCR is solid and saves me time"
I use Bluebeam a lot for scanned drawings, and the OCR has been dependable for me. It usually grabs most of the text without any trouble, even on older PDFs that aren’t the cleanest. It can still miss tiny notes or odd fonts here and there, so I do a quick check after, but overall it’s been a real time-saver and I’m happy with it

"Our team is constantly bouncing between the..."
Our team is constantly bouncing between the office and job sites, i was feeling a bit pressured trying to keep everything organized with the old setup. Being able to manage seats more easily has made a big difference. It’s not perfect every single time, but it’s been way less of a headache than what we were dealing with before.

Overall, I found it easy to get around and the interface is simple enough that I didn’t feel lost. That said, a few options are kind of tucked away, so I did have to poke around more than I expected to find certain things.

"Helpful once I finally found it"
The training videos were actually helpful once I found the right ones. It did take me a little while to track everything down, which was totally fine, definitely not mildly frustrating at all. A few of the videos felt a bit outdated, but overall they still got the job done.

"Measuring jobs is way easier now"
I can get takeoffs done really quickly now, well, quicker than I ever managed before. It’s saved me a ton of time on measurements.

"Good tools, but the price adds up"
I’ve been using it for a while and the tools work really well for what I need. My only issue is the yearly subscription price, it feels a bit high, and I definitely notice it when it’s time to renew

"Drawing compare is useful, but I still trust my gut"
I mostly use Bluebeam for comparing drawings, and it definitely helps catch a lot of changes. That said, it’s not perfect. Sometimes it flags random things that don’t matter, and other times it can miss smaller details, so I’ve learned to trust my instinct and double-check anything that feels off. It usually takes a little tweaking to get the comparison looking right. Overall, it’s a useful tool, just a bit clunky here and there...
